The wire is a nice thickness much better then the one comes with the I pads themselves. I feel the thickness is good enough to withstand the tearing that comes with these wire. I love the length plenty of stretching from the plug to be able to still use my I pad while it charges. I am glad to have this wire to replace my old one from the original I pad mini I have. I received this product for free for a honest review. #cable
